Please discuss the concepts of perimeter and ratios with your child tonight. Our beach math lightly covered both topics, so their understanding may be pretty thin. That's ok as we will revisit both concepts later in the year.

Please remember to wear your uniform for the Grandparents Tea tomorrow.
The after-school program schedule starting Dec. 2 was passed out to the students today.
We will leave at 9:45AM and be back to the Carmel Campus by 11:00AM. Students may wear free dress.
1. Complete Spelling activities A,B, and C on page 37.
2. Read and mark Journey to London. Be prepared to discuss tomorrow. We read Mary Oliver's Stones at the beach today, and left our favorite lines etched in the sand for others to enjoy. Using your menu, plan a meal for yourself. Order at least 3 items, find the total, and then subtract the total from $100.00 to determine the change. If you want, you may also determine the tip! If you forgot your menu, find one on-line. The Yellow Pages might also have menus you can find under the restaurant section.
Please read the poem with someone in your family and discuss the figurative language. Complete activities A,B, & C on page 33
Use colored pencil or pen to write the letter pairs: kn and qu. Make sure you do the challenge words, too.
Students will leave campus at 8:15 for a little poetry and figurative language lesson. We'll be reading a poem by Mary Oliver called "Stones". We'll be back at 9:30.
Workbook: Exercise 10, page 28 only (Students may challenge themselves by doing page 29 if they want a little extra.).
